The 145th Kentucky Derby was actually won by Maximum Security who finished first but was ultimately disqualified and placed 17th. Bill Mott’s horse Country House was elevated from second to first and became the winner of the 145th Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs on May 4, 2019.
